The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer is familiar with the region and advises that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the team access areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
